Here’s the thing – I recently acquired a almost-new Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, my now favorite lens. It was a rainy day and my UV filter hadn’t yet arrived, so what was there to take photos of?!
After having a think, I decided to go for the inside of the washing machine, just to check: 1 – how wide I could go, and 2 – how sharp the lens was at the edges. The conclusion: Very, and very.
This shot was hard to light since I only had a single 580EX MkII. I ended up bouncing it backwards off a sheet of A4. Inexpensive or what?! After a lot of processing, I came up with this ultra-crisp high-contrast black and white abstract. I’m quite pleased with the result…
However, I still don’t know how to use a washing machine properly! :(
