I know what you’re thinking – Tetris has been done a million times over, and yes you’re also right in thinking there have been another hundred thousand 2-player versions. However, like I’ve been told time and again on my course – everything has been done.
I plan to make some form of 2-player Tetris that uses the Flash Media Server and allows perks when you complete a number of lines that affect the opposing players screen in some way, either by inserting a line at the bottom of the screen, changing the other persons current piece or causing a virtual earthquake that shakes their screen.
Could be easy, yet impressive. However, it could be “Ambitious, but rubbish…”
